Update!

Hello everyone!

We have had some interest in this project and a few have claimed that postcards are on their way. Check back soon, as I will post these postcards as soon as I receive them! Please remember to write "Froufrou Postcards" somewhere on the postcard. Also, don't forget the first 100 people to send me postcards for this project will receive one in return. The postcards you will get in return are no ordinary postcards.. they are postcards I have created with my published photography. Each one is unique and high-quality. They are not just photos printed on a computer either, they go through a company, which makes them "official." I have had a lot of feedback on them and people seem to like them. The best part is, you can drop me a line in the comments and let me know what you want your postcard to be of. I will personalize it for you.. FREE! All you have to do is send me a postcard following the criteria on the first blog post. Thanks so much, I can't WAIT to see those postcards :)!

P.S. If you want to save on postage you can get a few friends together who would like to participate in this and send the postcards together in one envelope. You will each get a postcard in return! :)

Welcome to Froufrou!

Hello <3!

My name is Emily and I love to learn about other cultures, their religions and their history. I also love postcards and have decided to combine the two. If anyone would like to send me a postcard, I will happily post the front picture and snip its of the message on this blog. I am hoping to collect at least 500 postcards by this time (October) in 2012. This project will also hopefully help to create a better understanding of others. Feel free to send a handmade or store-bought postcard!

***The first 100 people who send me a postcard for this project will get one in return if you include an address on the card!***

Here's the catch that makes this blog different from others; to have your postcard posted on this blog, you have to have at least one of these topics on your postcard please:

~ Something that you believe makes you stand out from others (in a good way :))

~ Your beliefs (religion, philosophy of life, etc.)

~ The history of your town or city

~ Your favorite bit of history about your country

~ A unique holiday or celebration in your culture

~ A popular/trendy product right now in your country

The reason for these topics are to allow others to learn about where you are from and to help create a better understanding of other countries and cultures. I hope they will help you if you are stuck, too! Please feel free to write about yourself or anything else as well! Also, please include "Froufrou postcards" somewhere on the postcard. (Or I won't know where it's from.) Please note that your name or address will NOT be shared on my blog at any point.. so don't worry :)
